About Chessington World of Adventure

Are you up for an adrenaline pumping thriller ride in London? If you are travelling with your kids, they would unquestionably be highly excited! The Chessington World of Adventure is a theme park combined with a zoo, which is located in the south-west of Central London.

The zoo has animals from the kings of the forest to queens of sea life, most of whom are endangered species. The theme park has 26 thrilling rides, with 4 rollercoaster rides and two water rides! The park is divided into exotic cultural areas and the rides are based on each culture; like mummies from Mystic East and Vampires from Transylvania. Halloween at the Chessington World Avenue is also said to be quite a splendid event.  

The adventure park is open from 10.00am to 5.00pm (off peak), 6.00pm (peak) and 8.00pm (during Halloween), between March and October. The zoo however, would be open to the public during the half term of February also, where the habitat of animals during winter can be seen. There is also a 150 bedroom hotel onsite and plenty of food and drink shops to rejuvenate the wisely spent energy. All facilities for both able and disabled persons are provided.           

The ticket prices vary depending on time of year that you are visiting the park, but different packages are also offered. However, it is said that online booking is cheaper.

If you take the rail to Chessington South station, the park is about a 10 minute walk away. You could also take the bus 465 from Kingston or bus 467 from Epsom. If you come by your vehicle, it is located 12 miles from London in route A243 and then 2 miles in the A3.      

Being trapped up with a lot of stress, visiting the Chessington World of Adventure would not only give your kids an exhilarating holiday, but also allow you to be as light and carefree as the kids!

Chessington is situated 12 miles from London on the A243, just 2 miles from the A3 and M25 (junction 9 or 10).

By Rail

Regular South West Train services run from Waterloo, Clapham Junction and Wimbledon. Take the train to Chessington South Station. The park is approximately 10 minutes walk from the station.
